Tommy Greene

Tommy is a freelance journalist. His recent work has been published with The Guardian, The Irish Times, Al Jazeera, The Detail, The Belfast Telegraph, openDemocracy, WIRED and Private Eye magazine, among other outlets.

He was previously a Fellow with the Bertha Foundation. He has worked on award-winning investigations into whistleblowing protections for NHS workers, Covid-19 pandemic transparency, cross-border waste dumping and supply chains. Recently, his reporting at Lough Neagh has shone a light on a range of issues impacting the largest freshwater body in this part of Europe, helping to shape a renewed public conversation around its ownership and governance.

His SCI Fellowship project will investigate labour issues within a specific region of Ireland.
