Tahmid Islam

Tahmid is a community organiser who helps the marginalised and those of minority backgrounds to recognise their own power and the ability to make a change.

He previously worked with Citizens UK in London, but is now with an organisation called Peace First as a Fellow in Residence and programme Manager in the UK and Europe. 

He's doing work to support young people in the UK and Europe to build capacity and resources to start social action projects to challenge injustices ranging from Mental Health to Economic Equality.

Before he took up his new role, we interviewed Tahmid at an SCI convening about his work and his experience with Social Change Initiative.
