Philip Brannan
Philip works for the Blackmountain Shared Space Project (BMSSP) in West Belfast, Northern Ireland. Having previously been a small business owner, he became involved in community work. BMSSP supports a cross community critical engagement men's group that draws on a wide mix of participants from both communities, including ex-prisoners, ex-combatants, community activists, Gaelic Athletic Association members and band members.
Philip completed a Fellowship focusing on recording an oral history of residents and previous residents in the Springmartin and Highfield areas of Belfast, to create a greater understanding of their perceptions and memories of living through both the conflict and the post-conflict period.
