Patrick Corrigan

SCI Mentor

Over the last twenty years, Patrick has led Amnesty International’s work in NI having previously worked and volunteered in peace and community relations organisations. 

He has worked on a wide variety of local, national and international human rights campaigns and is a regular contributor to media on human rights matters. 

He has successfully campaigned for a public inquiry into institutional child abuse in NI, helped mobilise tens of thousands of people in support of equal marriage, and intervened in litigation challenging NI’s restrictive abortion laws. 

Patrick enjoys working in partnership with other organisations. He is co-founder and board member of the Human Rights Consortium, and co-founder and leader of the Love Equality campaign for marriage equality. He is a governor of his local integrated primary school in Newcastle, County Down.
