Mary Meg McCarthy

SCI Mentor

Mary Meg has over 20 years built and led a human rights organisation providing direct legal services to immigrants and refugees while advancing systemic reform.

A human rights advocate advancing human rights protections, May Meg’s work has been influenced by time spent working in Chile where she learned the importance of integrating systemic reform to individual advocacy.

She has witnessed human rights abuses and individuals being denied their fundamental rights, and has learned how to navigate dangerous and complicated reality where people are subjected to human rights violations and economic exploitation.

Mary Meg is committed to protecting the rights of each individual especially those with no voice or whose rights are openly violated by US government anti-immigrant policies.
