Mark Vinton

Mark was brought up and lives in Springmartin, an interface community in Belfast. He has been involved in community activism for many years and joined the Belfast Conflict Resolution Consortium in 2007, whose staff team was composed of both loyalists and republicans.

Mark is a founding member of the current Blackmountain Shared Space Initiative and sits on the Board. He sat on the Belfast Police and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) and now works with Ex-Prisoner Interpretative Centre (EPIC) dealing with the many barriers facing political ex-prisoners and ex-combatants. His Fellowship examined how specific areas in Northern Ireland, and the communities within them, can become stereotyped and demonised.
