Jeannie McCann

Jeannie is a Social Value Advisor at the Strategic Investment Board where she is a human rights and social values champion. Previous to this, Jeannie was the Advocacy and Campaigns Officer in Northern Ireland for Trócaire, an international development and human rights organisation. Her role involved building political and community support in NI for the global campaign to hold big business to account for harming people and the planet.

Jeannie has more than 10 years' experience engaging diverse stakeholders in social justice issues. Previously, she worked for Habitat for Humanity where she gained experience in communications, volunteer management, and donor relations. She holds an MA in Journalism. She is committed to working together to challenge the root causes of poverty and inequality and building a peaceful, sustainable, and shared future for all.

Jeannie's Fellowship explored how local action can contribute to global justice and she has learned how others have made local-global links to help create positive change.
