Celia McKeon

Celia's fellowship focused on encouraging a public debate about national security, what it means and how it can be advanced. During her fellowship she produced a comparative analysis of North American and European National Security Strategies which can be accessed here.  On the back of the fellowship she established Rethinking Security to continue and take forward the work initiated under the fellowship.

Celia is an experienced peace building practitioner.  She was previously a Policy Director at the international peacebuilding organisation Conciliation Resources and a Quaker representative supporting local peacebuilding initiatives in the Balkans.

Celia became Chief Executive at the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust in September 2019.
