Amanda Ferguson

Amanda is a Northern Ireland based journalist, commentator, and storyteller. She is also the co-founder of Women in Media Belfast which promotes the voices of women in and on the media. Amanda has a particular interest in politics, peacebuilding, women issues, equality, and wellbeing.

Amanda completed a Fellowship focusing on exploring the perspectives of women from different backgrounds, communities and minorities around their perception of the NI media, and women’s participation in it. Connecting with women leaders locally and internationally to consider key questions around the balance of power and representation in the media, and the extent to which women’s voices can contribute to peacebuilding, fairness, reconciliation, justice, inclusion.
