Abeer Musawaei
Journalist
A journalist and television presenter with over 12 years of experience, she seeks to amplify the voices of minorities and underrepresented communities. She is passionate about human-interest storytelling and shedding light on complex and often overlooked issues, believing that taboos are often socially and politically constructed, and that access to knowledge is one of the most fundamental rights of both individuals and communities.
She co-founded, alongside her mother, the Rifqan Development Organisation in Yemen, which empowers women.
She believes in the value of dialogue and cross-cultural communication and enjoys learning from the experiences of others. Through the fellowship programme, she aims to foster greater understanding between migrants and local communities while highlighting inspiring stories and role models that contribute to building a more inclusive, connected, and understanding society.
